ACCREDITED DEWPOINT CALIBRATION

The dewpoint calibration is made using a Thunder

Scientific 3900 Two-Pressure Generator at room

temperature. The calibration uncertainty is

typically from 0.2

C. A one-point temperature

calibration is performed at ambient. The

calibration procedure used for calibration is

11603134-CSL Dewpoint Calibration.

The Thunder Scientific 3900 Two-Pressure Two-

Temperature Generator saturates a continuous

stream of air or nitrogen with water vapor at a

known pressure and temperature. The saturated

high-pressure gas then passes through an

expansion valve where it expands to a lower

pressure. To generate a particular humidity the

3900 first selects a suitable saturation temperature.

It then determines the saturation pressure required

to establish the correct saturation vapor pressure.

CALIBRATION DETAILS

The instrument will be adjusted to comply with

its specifications (if needed) unless no adjustment

is requested. Out of tolerance conditions are

determined

by the product specification only. The

calibration uncertainty is not tied in with the

instrument's accuracy. All results are reported in a

calibration certificate, which is written according

to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard.
